Passion Parade Link Soiree

Today is Scott and Kelly's (not of Klove radio) last day of engagement as they would publicly announce tomorrow a promise to be bound to be best friends forever. They are just the most darling and beautiful couple ever! Kinda like a princess and a prince charming.

Our friend was very nice to open her gorgeous home for Kelly's bridal shower. The ladies brought in great foods! I especially love that cheesecake you see at the picture which our pastor's wife made. Oh it was to die for!

And this little darling Chloe with be one of their flower girls. I heard she has been practicing her walk.

Of course! I gotta have a picture with the bride-to-be. Don't be fooled. She bent down a little so I didn't have to look too short lol! I was given a privilege to take part in this wonderful event as someone in charge of the guest book!

While some are getting ready for a wedding, others are busy getting their Christmas fever on! Here are our featured creative and talented linkers who partied with us last week!

You have got to see this Hot Chocolate Bar idea from Life Is A Party! I would love to go to that party!

Prefer making your own decor? Karen of Shabby Brocante shared her easy to make homemade Christmas ornaments!

I love this another charming homemade Christmas decor idea from Margaret of Chantilly Charm! It looks dreamy!

Passion Parade Link Soiree and No Decal DIY Glass design

Hello world!
So Thanksgiving is over. What's  next? Is it in your family tradition to go on black Friday frenzy? Did you get some great deals?
Those great deals were so tempting, but i just couldnt afford to spend more than I make. Though I decided not to be a part of midnight chaos, I will still have to witness the aftermath tomorrow at work.
But before I set off at work, i want to leave you with a little project i made.
I was looking at my inexpensive diy tablepiece and i couldnt help but think, it needed something more!
So with an acrylic paint on my hand and a stamp on the other, i had an idea!
I used a faded text background rubber stamp with black acrylic as ink and let it dry. Expect this is temporary, at least i could erase or change the design anytime.
Do you have recent project to share?
Here are the featured linkers from last week's Passion Parade!

Check out this romantic and cozy little reading nook by Trisha of
Glass Slippers and all Sorts of Stuff. Her little corner is just so dreamy!

Meeha Meeha really did a great job on her first crochet pillow! Hop on to her link and learn the tutorial. This is a cute gift idea!
I love this cute penny rug idea by Connie of SadieLooHoo. Sometimes I've been naughty sometimes that I need to explain too!

Passion Parade Friday Link Soiree

Hello world! It's Friday once again. Yikes! It is easy to lose track of time when you have a lot of things going on your mind right!? I am sure you are all looking forward in seeing your family for thanksgiving next week. Though Thanksgiving isn't over yet, I am in Christmas frenzy lately.

In the nature of what I do, I don't think could afford the luxury of gorgeous decors I see on home magazines. In fact, sadly, I had to cancel my subscription to my favorite magazine. It's called cost cutting.
But there is no reason to whine. I thought hey! store catalogs are free and internet offers an innumerable great decor inspirations!

I got this idea from Pottery Barn catalog. I just happen to have some of the materials somewhere around the house. I didn't have a big glass bowl like shown on the magazine, but I do have a square glass candle holder. I think that would do the trick.

For me end of Christmas holiday is the best time to buy materials for the next year.

I got a bunch for these decorative branch last year at clearance. I cut each balls and put a half full in my candle holder. Then, I wrapped  a scrap of burlap around a short white candle.

I agree on that written quote!

It doesn't have to look exactly like it. All I needed was a little inspiration and add personal touch!
Now I got a low cost decor great for Fall and Christmas theme!

So what have you been up to lately? Do you have holiday projects to share this week? I would love for you to share it with us today here at Passion Parade!

Here are some great ideas from our linkers from last the last parade.

I love this cute idea for Dip-n-Stir Chocolate & Mallow Spoon from Linda of  With a Blast. With our cooler weather, I am able to enjoy myself some hot cocoa!

Gift of Elegance

Hello world!
Sorry, It has been very silent here at Petites Passions. Time passes by so quickly when you are busy does it? I have been adjusting lately with my work, schedules and personal activities that I didn't have enough time to blog! I know it is temporary, just until holiday seasons are over.
Although it's kinda busy around here, I could still spare some time finding items to sell on my Etsy

I found this gorgeous silver plated candelabra with a price I cannot refuse. I knew I had to get it before someone does!!!

So I polished it and made a few touches and put it on my Etsy store.

After only a few days, it was sold and shipped to one of the best fine dine restaurant in Chicago of 2012, which shall remain nameless for it's privacy. It wasn't shipped to the buyer's name so I was assuming it's a gift?
How exciting!!!

Passion Parade Link Soiree and Christmas tree

BLOG TITLE

Hello World!
I hope you are feeling well today. I am a little bit under the weather this week. I've been feeling sick since last Tuesday. Even our dog has a bad case of drippy nose.

I am crossing my fingers tightly wishing I would be well tomorrow for my fist day of my job. I am so excited!

While thanksgiving hasn't come yet, some people are getting their Christmas fever going on. Upon seeing the tree, surprised hubby blurted out that it's not even thanksgiving yet.!

Even Yoda gave me the "Ugh, what are you doing?" look.
For some of you who may not know that in Filipino time, I am actually two months behind the schedule.

I am sure others are with me here. I have been seeing some great Christmas inspirations like from Stephanie of The Enchanting Rose D.I.Y ornament  made of used T-shirts! So don't throw those old shirts just yet ;)

Have you got early Christmas fever too? Be and inspiration and share your creativity here at Passion Parade!

Conair Infiniti YOU CURL Curling Wand Review

My Revlon 1-1/2"" Curling Iron is just not working so well with my fine-thin hair. Using it is like not using it at all. The barrel size was too big to give me curls.
It only game my ridiculous waves like I just woke up from bed. Plus, Its taking up so much time to heat. This madness had to stop! It's think it is time for a change. But this time, I want to make things right.

photo from amazon

Like a good shopper, I searched and searched for a reasonable curling iron at amazon. I always look first for customer reviews and ratings until Infiniti YOU CURL Curling Wand caught my interest. I thought I'd try and use a curling wand instead of rounded barrel to at least try to avoid damaging my hair tips when curling.

The product description described it as made of tourmaline ceramic. Tourmaline mineral/gem is infused to a ceramic for less hair damage. I think it is nice know my curling iron is made of gem! No wonder it's shiny and sparkly!

Since this is the first time I used a curling wand, I suffered a teeny tiny minor injury. I kinda burned my ring finger which made my curling session uncomfortable.

This is my doubtful face. I felt I made a mistake! It wasn't actually the curl I expected. The waves are smaller than I wanted. It was more like a spiral rather than locks. Or maybe I just needed more practice?

But then again, I remembered Mary Louise Parker's  loose curls that I really liked. The waves seemed like nonchalantly tussled, but still looked gorgeous.

Then, the world is beautiful again! The wand size is actually great for my thin hair and created proportioned curls for nice volume. And oh! Did I mention it heats up real QUICK and so it does curl.

It may not be perfectly the same as Mary Loiuse's hair, but I got the easy loose curls I admire.
In a nutshell, I love it! For it's price, I think it is very reasonable

Porcelain VS Ceramic

Hello World!
I'm sorry it has been quiet here at Petite Passions. I've been busy this past couple of weeks. Although, I was still able to squeeze some time shopping for my Etsy store.

As soon as I spotted these two porcelain....(ummm errr ceramic?), I grabbed it and put it in my basket. I envisioned it as a great embellishments for beach themed bathroom.

I couldn't identify if this is ceramic or porcelain, and there's no label at the bottom. I guess we will never know? I looked it up in my trusted Google search and learned the porcelain are basically ceramics (made of clay) that are fired at temperatures as high as 2,600 degrees Fahrenheit instead of 2,100 and less. Compare to ceramics, porcelains are translucent when held up to light while ceramics are normally opaque. Porcelains are particularly smooth in texture with beautiful luster, more fragile.

For a long time, porcelain was referred to as  "china" or "fine china" because the process was developed in China. So it didn't mean it was Made in China like I thought it was lol!

Okay, so I peeked through it and saw silhouette of my finger and declared.. "It's Porcelain!"

I assume this isn't tea light candle holder because there are no holes in it, so I thought it could be a gorgeously purposeful as Q-tips holder or....

Cotton holder!

Oh wait! There's one more... Fill with pearl beads and it could be make-up brush holder too!

This will be available in my Etsy Store :)
