Falling In Love Again

I finally took the courage to go out by myself today for a walk. I went to Michael's for some shopping which is a walking distance away. On my way I couldn't help but to think, everything is not the same anymore.

I miss walking by the Promenade des Anglais

The music is now replaced by busy motorists in a hurry. No more friendly smile of this Monsieur .

There are cacti everywhere....

....rather than bright colored tulips.

I must face it, the world is not perfect.

But every thing has beauty in its own way.

Today, this view gave me a reason to embrace my new home. I fell in love with the incomparable beauty of the desert's sunset.

  5. Great post Myric. Way to go, embrace your new home, bloom where you're planted, at least for now. Change is ever evolving, who knows where we'll be later. TFS your thoughts.

  6. I live in the desert too, and moved from a most beautiful place in the mountains 16 years ago, but I have embraced the beauty of the desert. I don't like the heat in the summer, but I just try to find beauty all around me. Hope you have a lovely weekend!

  7. Good Morning Myric Sweetie...
Oh I knew you would find that heavenly place here in the desert. I told you it just takes time to find its beauty. I have been here almost 26 years now, and can't imagine living anywhere more beautiful. We have our own beauty here, but you have to look and you will find it.

Love that Michael's and it is SO heaven on earth. I could spend a day in there, and still not see everything. How wonderful that you are walking distance. That would be very dangerous for me.

Have a glorious weekend sweetie. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

    Great photos...
    I know how you feel.
Years ago I moved from one continent to another continent. It just takes some time to get used to the new neighbourhood.
    Take care,
    Gisela.

  9. I know the feeling of moving and leaving something beautiful behind! I have taken some years to find beauty here on my peninsula because I was so homesick for Tasmania's wide variety of beauty! But it has happened! I am amazed at the variety of different beauty in my new water world! Gorgeous photos!

  13. Adjusting is hard, it's good to see you are able to look for the good in where you are while remembering the beauty of your past too.
I love tulips! Your sunset photo is also beautiful.
