Painting My Wall with Snowflakes

Morning. I woke-up in my future to be in-law's guest bedroom when I saw tiny white cotton like specs falling from above. I thought it was my dadzy working on the roof. But It was too cold! I thought to myself. I looked looked closer through the window. Could it be!? It's snowing!!!

While still on my pajamas, I put on a robe and snow boots. Grabbed dadzy's camera which he entrusted to me. My heart was throbbing hard. I was so excited! I did what I could to capture photos of these snowflakes!Imagine me taking photos with a robe on. Yes. I was that excited because it was a first snow experience for a girl who lived her whole life in a tropical country.

That's when my adoration of snowflakes begun! Included on this wall are my wedding left-over Christmas banner and my DIY 'hanging memories' frame.

I say this is an accidental blue inspiration. The Christmas cards and gift wraps were from our last year's Christmas left-overs. I got these Christmas cards after Christmas sale on Target (I think). I love to display it because of the written poem on it that tells "The Meaning of Snowflake" written by Holly Gerth

I got these wrapped cardboard idea from the best decorator I know. Ma belle-mère (French for my mother-in-law)

Oh how I wish we have a mantle to play and decorate with, but all I have was this boring blank white wall!
Well, it is not as boring anymore as it displays many memories of my firsts as a foreigner who moved and started a new chapter of life two years ago.

  1. VERY PRETTY BANNER! LUV the powder blue & silver color combo! I feel you. I dont have a mantle either here and in Ca...Here I use the gigantic wall a/c for a mantle that is installed by my window....so whatever works!

  5. How wonderful that it is snowing around your house! Here is Southern California, we don't see much of the snow unless we go high in the mountains. I think the snow is so beautiful. ~Sheri at Red Rose Alley
