DIY Natural Room Scents on Mug Warmer

Are you like me obsessed with constant worry if the room smells like pan fried garlic or coconut curry from last night's dinner? Filipino diet consists of sauteed garlic and onion smell. That's how our apartment usually smells like, that's why I love keeping scented candles in our living room.

Hubby has asthma, so we prefer scented candles instead of chemical room sprays. I've tried to save with cheap candles but  there's hardly no smell at all! So I am stuck with expensive candles which I have to wait to go on sale to get some.

Being a D.I.Y junkie myself, I so love this idea of Natural Room Scents by The Yummy Life. Click the link for recipes.
I think my husband is going to love this since he loves fruity scents and perfect for small spaces like in our apartment. And oh! did I mention it could be a nice little humidifier on cold winter temperature?
The idea is to put the mixture on a candle or mug warmer. Since it is all natural, I am not sure how long is the canning period until the water gets all cloudy. It cannot be left out overnight for safety reasons I guess. However, I am dying to try it.

  2. That's a great idea...Have you tried BHG scented wax cubes?? They are my fave. and you can use the wax afterwards to make candles I usually transfer them in a cute container and layer the colors...You can find them at wal-mart, and you dont have to leave the wax warmer on the whole time cuz the smell stays longer....find warmer that you plug in that way you'd be able to use the wax longer....its cheap tooo!
