So I got a sewing machine. What now?
I had no experience in sewing or whatsoever. Well, yes I remember in my home economics class, we tried to make an apron but I never really payed much attention to it. My sister who is craftier than me ended-up making my project instead.
It was only now that I am enjoying my time as a thrifty homemaker that I showed interest in D.I.Y decors. It made more sense to have a sewing machine.
This fabric was left-overs when I refurbished our dining room chairs which I got at the clearance section at Hancock fabrics.
I thought it would be fun to make a pillow cover with it and fortunately, I had a piece of paper transfer, made a design with the help of The Graphic's Fairy and put "Le Chateau Blue". That's what I want to call our living room :)
I apologize, I was too excited to try the sewing machine that I did not take pictures of step-by-step process of sewing pillow case.
However, one of our linkers from Passion Parade Link Soiree Babblings and More shared an easy tutorial on how to make gorgeous pillow covers!

DeleteThe fabric on the pillow and chairs is so pretty, Myric. I love the color of blue in the home. My mom was such a talented seamstress. She could sew just about anything. She even made my wedding dress. It's so good of you to learn this.
