Thai Peanut Chicken Tenders

I wasn't thrilled with the idea of peanut butter on my rice but this dish changed my perspective on the possibility that the two could actually work together!

I learned this dish from my meal planner app called FoodOnMyTable and tried it immediately. It is super easy and super delicious. So delicious that I had dinner twice!! My hubby had it for midnight snack!

It is called

Thai Peanut Chicken Tenders

Ingredients

1 (pound) chicken tenders

1 (teaspoon) ground ginger

1/2 (cup) honey

1/2 (cup) creamy peanut butter

1/2 (teaspoon) cayenne pepper (optional)

1/2 (cup) green onions, chopped (optional)

Directions

Heat oil in large skillet over high heat and cook chicken until it is no longer pink, about 3-5 minutes. Reduce heat to low and add ginger, honey, peanut butter and cayenne pepper. Cook, stirring frequently, until sauce is bubbly and warm, 3-4 minutes. Serve topped with green onions.

Crafty Pink Invitation

I just got back home from women's bible study today. Just when I stepped in my apartment, I literally grabbed my camera, took a picture of this invitation and jumped on my computer to post about it!

Michelle Pemberton is my churchmate. She is so kind to open her house to host a weekly women's bible study. I love hanging out with (I wouldn't say older but...) wiser women. Their insights about a life of obedience to the Lord are very inspiring! We are using Beth Moore's video as study material.

 I featured one of Michelle's crafty Christmas Banner here in my blog last December. She is so crafty. She said, she was a teacher! She just couldn't help herself! She could have made a simple invitation card with text. Instead, she made it like this! Isn't that cute!? You can tell it is made with love! Sorry, I had to blur out the address for privacy purposes.

She is having a pot luck party at their house. I am thinking of bringing a Traditional Filipino dessert called Cassava Cake. This will be the first time I will make it. We shall see. I will let you know how it goes :D

DIY Wall Art: My Black Valentine

My husband and I were a couple of spoilers. It started when hubby gave his V-day gift to me as early as January 29th! Then, I just couldn't wait to give his!

He has been complaining about our blank white wall at the office for quite some time. I thought I's do something about it that would also serve as my Valentine's day present. I've had this idea on my head. I was just waiting for the perfect timing to execute it.
I have been wanting a black, white and gray theme for the office, colors that hubby would like but can also be chic at the same time.

I love wall art! But I am not in the position in life to throw huge amount of money for wall art yet. I thought this idea is so easy, perfect for my theme and something my hubby would love!

I had it personalized by including my photographs I took during our walks in Nice France. They are few of my husband's favorites! That photo of a book page is actually one of his favorite books.These photos were so meaningful to us. Reminds us of our great memories in France.

Bought the cheapest 12x12 canvas I could find and painted them black for more professional touch. I glued some pretty scrapbook black and white papers. I took the challenge of getting pretty scrapbook-papers but for less than a dollar. Most of them were on sale at Michael's!

I made this one from the scratch.

I used chip letters and put "Story Of Us". The heart is actually a cut out from one of my articles that I printed entitled "The End is Near". It was about our stay in France.

I was nervous if he would like it. The picture might look like he is in rage but....

 this picture shows a clearer statement that he loves it! He posted this on his facebook with a caption saying "No more blank white walls!".

My hubby is my number 1 fan of my photography. He believed in my creativity and encouraged me in every step of the way. He loved the idea to male our office gallery for my photos!

Google Friend Connect is Closing... Completely??

March 1, 2012 is believed to be the date when Google Friend Connect is shutting down for non-Blogger users like Wordpress. However, there is a rumor that GCF will be shutting down completely.

Does that mean I could lose that awesome little tool that connect me to my wonderful followers? The answer to this question is completely unsure. This is best answer I could find and I am holding on to the hope my blog would be fine.

Seriously!... I should read news more often and pay attention to Blogger buzz!

"Friend Connect allows webmasters to add social features to their sites by embedding a few snippets of code. We're retiring the service for all non-Blogger sites on March 1, 2012. We encourage affected sites to create a Google+ page and place a Google+ badge on their site so they can bring their community of followers to Google+ and use new features like Circles and Hangouts to keep in touch."

Honestly, I am a little frustrated with this. I didn't even like the new Blogger's preface and now this! I couldn't find the answer I was looking for. Only the suggestion Blogger could offer was to switch to Google+

To me it looks like Google is trying to keep-up with facebook to increase their traffic. Changes are good but adjustments are just too much work!

I did switched to Google+ and tried to get Google+ badge gadget which will be a replacement/alternative for GFC. I did however managed to get this...

But can't get this for some reason :(

 So instead, I got this! C'est trop facile! Very easy and ideal for non-Blogger users. You can sign-up here

Antique Kettle

I was at the antique store with mumsy when I saw this.  If I remember it well, this kettle was 5 bucks. We both agreed I must have it! I can't remember if she paid for this or I did. Geesh! She has given me a lot of things that I forgot which ones were gifts and which ones I purchased.

I didn't know what to do with it at first. One thing I knew was it would look great with my Provence theme kitchen with cheerful yellow flowers!

So I thought... why not use it as a flower vase?

...so I did! :)

 

Pardon my flower arrangement skill. I am not proud of it. Oh well.
