I have seen tin pails on blogs and home magazines as flower pots or used as other decor, so when I found this on the shelf a thrift store, I swooped-in and never left it out of my sight.
Of course a blank pail would be boring, so I went to The Graphic's fairy blog (click here to see the label I used) and printed this Rose Provence label to add a French country touch to it.
And for my next share of bargains, a bag of books for $5 from a public library book sale! If it fits, get it. We summoned both our puzzle solving skills to fit as much books as we could.

This is the only shopping my hubby could tolerate. In fact, he was the one who was dying to go.
We came home happy as a camper.
What's the best bargain you got lately? I would LOVE to know :)

what a sweet idea! I wish I had done this instead of making a mess of mine trying to paint stipes on it!!
ReplyDeletehmmm, wonder how I could fix it so it looks like this... ps do you still have the link to that label? Pls send it to me!!
xox
Nice bargains! I like the pails, I wish I could find them at bargain prices. I sometimes give books to the visitor centre up at the woods where I walk, but then end up coming home with twice as many as I took!
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful treasures you bargain hunted, enjoy!!!
ReplyDeleteI always shop bargains. For certain things it has to be on sale or no going home with me -lol-
Have a great day!!
Always, Queenie
Love to get bargains. You did good.
ReplyDeleteHow pretty, Myric! I love that label and have used it several times for projects. And I love a great deal, too. I think the thrill of the hunt is almost as fun as actually finding the bargain!
ReplyDeleteOoh, that pail is great! I adore how you embellished it!
ReplyDeleteHi Myric,

ReplyDeleteSo jealous...I love books and I seriously love the pails!!
ReplyDeleteNice pail re-do. I really do have to go to The Graphics Fairy. I see so many incredible projects like yours where they use labels from her sight. Now all I need is a project.
ReplyDeleteI had a similar tin pail & I would have never thought to make a label for it. How clever. It looks so darling. Thank you for sharing on Fabulous Friday.
