New Year, New Table

I was a little bit naughty last year.
This is my husband's old coffee table when he was still a bachelor. I stripped it, sanded and painted it and gave it a new look.

I just couldn't stand seeing those scratches and cherry red finish is not really my cup of color.

I settled for a simpler and more neutral color for the body and a shiny wood finish for the table surface.

Ta da!

Did you give any furniture a new look for the new year?

  1. Excellent transformation! I am not always a fan of painted furniture, but this really is a great improvement.

  4. great job!! I have a lot of old furnitures to resurface too but do not have time for it yet... :( hubby is not a fan of painted wood so I really have to give a thought on how I want to re-purpose and re-surface their furniture that are pretty scratched up....

  5. Wow you have totally transformed that little table. I looks wonderful! I have a little 3 legged stool that I've had on my to-do list for a couple of years to refinish... Perhaps this will be the year.
    Have a great day.
    Always, Queenie
