Happy Friday everyone!

BLOG TITLE

Thank you so much to all who joined Passion Parade Friday last week.  I couldn't stopped myself from ooh-ing and ahh-ing while browsing through your creative ideas! You are all amazing!

I really admire this kitchen by Poppy of Poppy View. The colors colors are so vibrant and cheerful! It would be nice to wake-up in the morning and have a cup of tea or coffee in this kitchen!

Isn't this lovely? Brown paper is not only for wrapping packages. Apparently, it is used to make fabulous vase too as shared from the TWIGG Studios. Visit her link to learn how she did it :)

As a Sunday school teacher, I really really love this idea!
The Crafty Blog Stalker shared a tutorial on how to make teacher appreciation gift such as this!I think this could be a great award for kid's activities and even a very cute gift tag and decoration!

I love recycling stuff so I am loving this creative idea from Babblings And More re-purposed diaper box. Decorative storage boxes can be a little pricey for me and finally, I can do something to those boxes sitting in our storage room!

Feel free to grab this button if you have been featured here at Passion Parade Friday!

I am so excited on what you are about to share this week! So let's get this parade going but first... just a quick reminder before linking up.

Memorial Day Tribute and Monday Blues Inspirations

Happy Memorial day everyone!

I am not American, but I would like to acknowledge the brave American soldiers who had died along with Filipino soldiers and civilians who fought against Spanish  (who occupied the Philippines for about 400 years) and Japanese war.

This statue of General Douglas McArthur found in Leyte, is the symbol to commemorate his return to the Philippine soil to fulfill his famous promise "I shall return" after the failure to fight against the Japanese.  Since then, Filipinos have embraced American culture until Filipinos demanded independence from America.

This is the actual photo inspiration for the statue.

I salute the brave ones. Thank you for your service!

Now It's time for...

Monday Blues Inspirations!

Glitter covered drinking glass. Isn't this a fabulous party idea!?

How cute is this spray painted coffee filter idea for birthday parties!

I know I want hues of blues for my living room. I was torn between combinations of blues and grays, blues and beige, blues and blacks. After seeing this, I am considering blues and gold!

I am not crazy about the wall paper pattern but I am loving the pattern of that mattress!

I hope you are all having a great memorial day. Hubby and I are off to eat out and go starbucks afterwards.

Enjoy this non-working holiday with you family or loved ones :)

I read that summer in Arizona starts in June. May hasn't ended yet but it feels like mid-summer already! I am the kind of person who could endure heat but I couldn't turn off the air-condition in this Arizona heat!
Aside from gelatos and smoothies, last week's browsing through last week's linkers gave refreshing ways to beat the summer heat!

Heather of French Press shares her super easy recipe of delicious nutella-fudge-pops. Hop on to her blog for more recipes for sweet tasty treats!

This No Calorie Sweet Green Tea  by Rebekah of Potholes and Pantyhose sounds refreshing and great drink for weight-watchers and loves green tea. I should try this one.

I always think anything citrus is refreshing. I just love the colors and the idea of using orange soda in this Sunkist Orange Soda recipe by Mrs. Fox's Sweets   . mmmm.. I love orange soda!

Thank you all so much for linking-up! We all enjoyed your learning from your creativities! Please feel free to grab "I've Been Featured" button :)

D.I.Y Image Transfer

Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful day!

It is getting hotter and hotter here in Tucson. Sheesh! But hey, I am a tropical gal. I can tolerate a little bit of heat. So happy it isn't humid though. Makes my hair all nice and not frizzy. What I love about the weather is I get to wear my summer clothes!

I bought this belt and buckle when I was in Nice in one of my favorite affordable clothes store. I thought it's cute and fashionable so I bought it! And I was in need of belt that time.

I am not all about purses. I have a little collection of bags in my closet. I didn't have a purse that matches my belt, so I thought it would be fun to make my own image design and put it on my blank canvas tote bag(click here to see how)

With the help of my editing program, I intentionally gave it a grunge look, cute with denim casual wear!
Stay cool! Have some smoothie or Ice cold frap perhaps :)

Monday Blues

Do not worry. This post does not intend to depress in relation to the negative expression 'Monday Blues', often used to indicate emotion of sadness. However, these pictures of blues in contrary cheers me up!

I wanna share with you my today's favorite blues.

I fell in love with this gorgeous blue feather hairdress. Wouldn't it look great on wedding or any formal occasions. So cute!

This shabby but chic turquiose furniture is too cute not to share!
Check-out the very talented Anne's of Design Dreams by Anne oh so cute tiny breakfast nook. She likes turqoise like I do. Hop on to her blog and see more of her turquoise creations.

I see that blue and green are not a bad combination.
I love it when bible verses are illustrated in such beautiful art.
Hope you all have a wonderful start to the week :)

"I Kissed The Eiffel Tower" Souvenir Tote Bag

I have been in image transfer fever lately. I just can't stop experimenting right after I got Liquitex Medium Gel, found at the Paint Supplies section at Michael's.

You probably have seen a number of image transfer tutorials. So far, this has been my favorite medium. It is very very easy, cheap and most effective!

* I used my photo of our tour in Paris kissing the Eiffel Tower and editted it into a silhouette. I thought it would be fun to put a caption under it that says "I Kissed the Eiffel Tower".  I mirror printed the image and the text using laserjet printer. I used ordinary white paper and learned I don't have to use wax paper

* Then I cut-out the image as close to the edges as I could. I put the image face down and traced it's shape to use as guide where to brush in the medium gel.

* Then I finally  brushed the medium gel on to the fabric with the traced shape of the image.

* I pasted the printed image ink-face-down, flattened it and make sure it sticks real good.

*Then I wait till it dries. I more wait, the better.

* When dried, sprinkle the paper with water and rub-off the paper. It's gonna all come-off.

*You could seal the image with modgepodge if you like.

*I lined the top and bottom of the tote bag with lace using  Beacon fabric glue.

Since I couldn't find souvenir tote bag in Paris of my liking, I just made my own :)
